Up until recently the usage tracking and session logs were the only tools available to BI System Administrators to monitor usage and troubleshoot dashboard or workbook performance. Usage Tracking is limited to User login, Queries that were executed, and DV and Classic Content viewed; it does not track changes to the catalog, updates to system setting, or data exported from workbooks. Sessions logs within OAC are limited in that they are difficult to search, are single threaded, and are not retained.

Recently Oracle has enabled the ability to use OCI Logging Services to access Audit and Diagnostic logs. Join us where we will explore the various use cases for each of these logging options and how to move the data into usable format for analysis within Oracle Analytics.
